On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Canadians are asked to pause in memory of the thousands of men and women who sacrificed their lives in military service. Doors will open at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre (401 1st Street SE, across from the Library) at 9AM, followed by the service in the Main Theatre at 9:45AM. The Remembrance Day Parade will be commencing from the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre after the Service, and proceed to Riverside Veterans Memorial Park, across from city hall.

Come early for coffee and cookies and join in on Remembrance Day Ceremonies in Medicine Hat.

‘Tis true… tickets are going fast for the two-time Grammy Award-Winning Group the Soweto Gospel Choir performing at the Esplanade on Wednesday, March 17th at 8pm.

THE SOWETO GOSPEL CHOIR,  is coming to the Esplanade for a rousing night of hip swaying, spirit moving songs and joyful jubilation.The Soweto Gospel Choir has played with the likes of Sting, Peter Gabriel, and numerous other contemporary stars to rave reviews. The New York Times calls them “Meticulous and Unstoppable,” and the Scotland Herald states: “You don’t have to be a believer to be inspired.” The Soweto Gospel Choir was formed to celebrate the unique and inspirational power of African Gospel music. The 26-strong choir, under the direction of David Mulovhedzi and Beverly Bryer, draws on the best talent from the many churches in and around Soweto.
