*UPDATE* New open house locations added (August 29th)
Stantec Consulting Ltd. has been engaged to prepare a Leisure Trails Future Development Plan.
The purpose of the Future Trail Development Plan is to create a long term, comprehensive planning document to guide the decision-making for the continued development and expansion of the Leisure Trails System.
A series of “Traveling Trail Open Houses” are scheduled for August 29 and 30 whereby residents can provide their input and fill out a short survey. Look for a white tent on the trails at the following locations:
Saturday, August 29
- Police Point Park main entrance: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Strathcona Island Park Lovell McDonnell Ball Diamond: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 4 -8 p.m.
- Family Leisure Centre (at the corner of Division Avenue North and the entrance into the Leisure Centre): 2 – 4 p.m.
- Saamis Rotary Park Playground: 3 – 5 p.m.
Sunday, August 30
- Devonian Trail between the YMCA and the Arena: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Kin Coulee Park Little League Ball Diamond (west end of Park): 4 – 8 p.m.
- Echo Dale Regional Park: 1 – 3 p.m.
- Ross Glen Water Park: 3 – 4 p.m.
- McCutcheon Drive NW (along the trail): 7 – 8 p.m.
