The event has been postponed due to the state of emergency in Medicine Hat from the flooding. The new date is Saturday, July 20th, 2013.

Medicine Hat Fan Roundup is back this year and is happening… tomorrow! The event is a one day expo in Medicine Hat for fans of anime, fantasy, sci-fi, video games, card games, board games, and pretty much anything else geeky.

You can expect lots of game playing, lots of anime, art, vendors, and plenty of presentations and workshops. You can kind of think of it as a mini Otafest.

Guests for 2013 include Force Start Comedy, The 404s, and featuring (as the special guest): James Davidge (of Driftwood Saga fame).

Looks like we are playing catch-up with listing some of the popular/big events happening in the near future. Joe Rogan will be stopping by in Medicine Hat for his recent stand-up tour. Rogan is mostly known today as a UFC commentator, and previously as the Fear Factory host, but he is also a stand-up comedian with tons of performances under his belt. His performances are usually jam-packed with very mature content, so for that reason I won’t embed any videos for your amusement, but there is tons of his stuff available on YouTube including some very funny heckler dissing routines.

The event is presented by ROCK 105.3 and will be happening at the Esplanade Theatre on October 3rd, 2009 at 8:00PM. Tickets will be $42 each (or $48 for VIP) and are available online at or at the Medicine Hat Mall ticket kiosk.

Ron James ‘Mental As Anything’ will be performed twice on December 7, one at 4PM and one at 8PM. Tickets are $47 each. Do not miss out on this one!
