Medicine Hat College is calling all alumni, students, and community members to join us on September 17 & 18, 2010 for Homecoming.

The annual college celebration will feature new activities for families and continue the festival theme of previous years. This year we are ecstatic to announce Canadian band Default will headline the main stage concert.

Default’s career got started when they were discovered by Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger shortly after forming in Vancouver in 1999. Kroeger’s interest led him to support the production of their debut album The Fallout. Their latest album, Comes and Goes, debuted in September 2009.

In addition to the concert, the homecoming weekend will include:

Friday, September 17, 2010

  • 1982/83 Alumni invitation dinner

Saturday, September 18, 2010

  • Rattlers Hall of Fame Breakfast at 9:30 am
  • Rattlers Soccer Action
  • Women’s Game at Noon
  • Men’s Game at 2 pm
  • ATB Family Fun Zone gates open at 4 pm
  • Kinsmen Beer Gardens gates open at 4 pm
  • Concert starts at 7 pm
  • Fireworks to close the show

Homecoming 2010 is expected to be the biggest celebration yet! For more information check us out

I have always wanted to learn how to play lawn bowling… So whether you are a reporter, tv/radio host, photographer, artist, musician or any other type of media worker, stop by with some food and drinks, and well, play some lawn bowling, or maybe a little bit of croquet?

Joshua Cockerill will be playing the Ottoman Lounge Thursday, June 17th @ 9PM. Joshua Cockerill can be considered rock mixed with a lot of country, or “alt-country”.

“Influenced and inspired by legends Neil Young and Leonard Cohen and contemporaries Blue Rodeo and Rutledge, Joshua Cockerill is an alt-country rocker with a poet’s soul.”

2009 saw the hot streak continue for The Manvils. After being handpicked by Bif Naked to support her national tour, they graced the cover of Vancouver’s #1 entertainment magazine, The Georgia Straight, and rocked the 2009 Virgin Festival main stage crowd, supporting Sonic Youth, Jarvis Cocker, Metric and Ben Harper.
