Persian Dreams & Canine Themes Rescue Society

Persian Dreams & Canine Themes Rescue Society is a Canadian Registered Non-Profit organization. The society was created in January of 2007, and is located in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Their mission is “To find permanent loving homes for all of the animals in our care and for those yet to come.”

Persian Dreams help cats, small dogs, and animals in distress. They do not have a facility to house the animals so our animals rely on the generosity of foster homes to care, love and train them. The society provides the foster family with basic supplies, veterinary care, and guidance. The animals in their care are spayed or neutered, vet checked, vaccinated, and micro chipped before being adopted.

The Society would like to acknowledge the Government of Alberta, Culture and Community Spirit for the Community Spirit Grant. The funding helped provide veterinary care for some of our animals improving their quality of life. Special thanks goes out to all the community members who donate and to all the volunteers for their hard work.

If you are interested in meeting one of our foster animals or would like to foster or make a donation, please call either 403-526-4399 or 403-529-0707, or email them at persiandreams@hotmail.com

Many thanks to the Community Spirit Program through the Government of Alberta – this year’s grant helped cover veterinary expense and pet supplies for 8 cats and dogs!

We need more pet foster homes! The more homes we have the more animals we can help. If you are interested please check out our foster application on our website.

All expenses such as veterinary care, pet and food supplies, shelter, and grooming are covered by Persian Dreams Rescue. All you provide is the love, patience, training, exercise and care of animals in your care!

Please remember to spay/neuter your pets! There are so many abandoned and unwanted animals in this district and by spaying/neutering your pet, you will help control the overpopulation!

There has been quite a high number of lost pets recently. For a minimal cost with your pet’s vaccinations, you can include a microchip. Once inserted and you register online – this little chip can be scanned by your local SPCA and veterinarians to ensure a safe return home! Also, ensure your current address and phone number is on your pet’s collar.

What do you do if you find a stray animal? Well, this year there have been a few people who pick the animals up and keep them. How awful for the owners not knowing where or what happened to their pet. When you find a animal please try your utmost to find the owners by placing a ad in the MH Newspaper (no charge for lost and found), place information and picture on KJ’S Lost and Found Pet Finder (facebook), send a picture and information as well as call your local SPCA and contact Bylaw at 403-529-8400.

    Thank you!
