Marianas Trench Live on October 30th
Here’s another one of those bigger name bands showing up in Medicine Hat in 2009. Vancouver band, Marianas Trench will be playing an all ages show at the Cypress Centre on October 30th, 2009. With them, are three guests: The New Cities, Carly Rae Jepsen (of Canadian Idol fame), and The Mission District. All of the bands are in or around the same genre: that pop-punky rock type stuff, some might reference “emo” as well with except Carly Rae Jepsen who is more folk-pop. They are also all Canadian bands ranging from all over the country.
Tickets will be $25 and you can get them by calling 403-527-1234 or online here. Seems pretty worth it to me, $25 for a big line-up like this?

I saw them when they were here in July, and they put on a decent show. I’m not much of a fan but I unfailingly get their songs stuck in my head whenever I hear them. Their between song banter is pretty weak though, making it a little monotonous. But a pretty good live band overall!
