The Esplanade Cafe presents Tunes at Noon featuring live music by local musicians in the Esplanade lobby from noon to 1 p.m. every Thursday in August.

“Our visitors really seemed to enjoy the casual summer festival feeling of Tunes at Noon last year, and now that summer has finally truly arrived, we thought we should start it up again,” says Cheryl Finnie, Facility Services Coordinator at the Esplanade. “Plus, this allows our talented local musicians to gain exposure, and we know every little bit counts.”

Featured performers include:

  • August 5 – Betty Bischke & Bill DesBarres (Piano)
  • August 12 – Jared Brake (Piano)
  • August 19 – Kumiko Sakamoto (Strings)
  • August 26 – Shelby MacPhail & Jocelyn Rempel (Strings)

Guests may bring their own lunch or buy lunch in the Esplanade cafe. Packaged sandwiches, salads and desserts are available.

There is no admission fee to enjoy Tunes at Noon and everyone is welcome. Admission to the Esplanade museum and art galleries is always free on Thursdays, so guests are also welcome to view the current exhibitions.

Every Friday (until December 18) at the Esplanade between 12:15PM and 12:45PM, you can check out some live music by local musicians. It is free and you are encouraged to bring your lunch and hang out for a bit by the Esplanade Cafe.
