Monster Spectacular

The Medicine Hat Arena will be the host to a monster truck show, called Monster Spectacular, on May 14th at 7:00PM.

On May 14th, 4 Monster Trucks will crush cars and race around a track for all attending to enjoy. Stunt bikes are also included in the event and will no doubt perform crazy tricks that will make the crowd Ooo and Ahh. Do not forget to bring your ear plugs though, the loud engines of 4 monster trucks or a dozen or more stunt bikes can be deafening!

Tickets can be bought at the Medicine Hat Mall’s customer service desk, by phone at 403-502-8777 or online at

Monster Truck Show = the largest gathering of redneck men in sleeveless flannel on the planet. Even the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth can’t outdo one of these testosterone pumping events.

I attended a Monster Truck & bike show at the Arena with some friends 20+ years ago. The venue is too small for the trucks to put on much of a display.

Good advice about the earplugs, and I would add an additional warning about the CO2 fumes from so many engines in an enclosed environment. Yuck. I still remember the two couples I was part of being nauseous and had headaches for hours later.

    Fill yer boots.

i really enjoy monster truck shows, but i have to agree the arena is way to small for this to be pulled off. they couldn’t pull of the snowmobiles in the arena….

I’ve seen monster trucks at the Stampede grounds grand stand, that seems to be a decent place for the event to be held… honestly wouldn’t be surprised if there was a last minute change of venue.

There is a reason monster trucks have never been in this venue before. It is far too small. Remember not that long ago the freestyle snowmobile guys had to perform outside… same thing will happen again. Not to mention the price of the tickets is outragous! You got 10x the show for on $20 when our local trucks put on a show at the Speedway. AND I also heard that the 2 local monster trucks were not asked by the promoter of this event to attend. HOW DISPICABLE!!!!!!!! Shame on you! I say show your support of the local trucks and not go to prove a point that you want them there or else…maybe the show promoter will listen then
